EVS now available in Japan: NTT DoCoMo introduces new VoLTE service
Only a few weeks after T-Mobile USA introduced EVS into its LTE voice call system, we are pleased to announce that Japan based NTT DoCoMo launched its EVS powered VoLTE service on May 19th. This is the second operator to officially proclaim their use of EVS. The first mobile phones to support NTT DoCoMo’s VoLTE service including EVS are Sony Xperia X Performance, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Sharp AQUOS Zeta.
